Well for the last 3 weeks the new Woylies at Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat & Conservation Sanctuary have settled in well.
Lesley a wildlife carer from Northcliffe brought her youngsters up to us near Margaret River to offer them a safe fox and cat free home on our 100ac conservation sanctuary.
She had 1 female and 1 male as very young joyies in her great care and guess what they loved each other and a baby was produced.
They have been in the Woylie breeding pen for around 3 weeks now and we have now opened the gate up so they can come and go at their own free will. They still seems to sleep in their soft padded bag all together, a cosy family.
Guests are often seeing Woylies even over at the chalets now, evidence is often seen from their diggings.
It is said this tiny 10" high kangaroo can turn over 5 tonnes of dirt in one year......!
They also can wrap their tail around sticks and bedding material and carry it...clever little things.
If you want to stay
and hopefully see some of the very friendly wildlife right on your doorstep check out our website
