Welcome to Western Australia.......

Hi from sunny Western Australia, the best kept secret of OZ.
Come and explore this great region and the emerging Eco Tourism scene. But as far history goes this area was only fairly recently settled by europeans in the 1920's with a Group Settlement scheme by the governement. Offering cheap land if you cleared it by hand with few tools and alot of hard work - blood, sweat & tears...
The wonderful jewelled caves discovered around the same time were open as early tourist caves and Caves House Hotel was built in Yallingup ( means the place of Love) a very popular honeymoon destination from Perth.
So Ecotourism has been here for a long time, the surf was a great draw card in the early 60's with many a long haired crew enjoying the famous Margaret River surf up & down the coast. Alot of guys settled here and now still get out and enjoy a surf and their kids come with them!
This still is a fairly unspoilt paradise as Western Australia is seperated from the rest of OZ by the desert and a fairly dry state and most people live within 50kms of the coastline.
Come and visit us.......some great websites to check out -
